Almost 85 years ago the first US student spent a full academic year in Vienna on a program administered by the AAIE. An absolute sensation at that time! Lecturers like Prof. Alfred Adler or the nobel prize winners Nicholas Murray Butler and Clemens von Pirquet emphasized the importance of our institute. Since the early 20ies our institute has developed, organized and administered uncountable academic programs, mainly for US universities. Recently we have also signed a contract with the Kobe City University of Foreign Studies in Japan.

Our programs are very different in structure, content, length and purpose.
We can organize (almost any) academic course, homestay, field study trips, guest lecturers and even very small internships. We exclusively work with organizations (e.g. Offices for International Education) and do not recruit individual students!

....is pretty new to the AAIE. Davis spends the month of August in Vienna.

University of Delaware

One of the oldest partners of the AAIE. The former director of International Studies also used to be President of „Friends of the AAIE“, our alumni organization based in Washington D.C.

......has been with the AAIE for a long time. Hope College has had a program in Vienna for more than 50 years!

.....sends students for a fall semester to Vienna. One of the focuses is German Language.
